1. WHO SHOULD COMPLETE THE FORM?
Anyone who has witnessed or experienced abuse firsthand by a federal agent. We welcome stories from Minnesota or beyond. If you witnessed an immigrant being abducted/take into custody in Minnesota, please contact Monarca at 612-441-2881 or info@monarcamn.org
2. WHEN SHOULD I MAKE A REPORT?
Any time. You can fill it out the form if the event happened today or many months ago. The more information we can collect, the more we will be able to connect people to collective organizing actions. We encourage you to report all incidents of ICE abuse that you have experienced or witnessed over the past many months. For those of you who have been out in the streets protecting your neighbors regularly or who live in targeted areas of the city, you many have numerous incidents to report. Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us.
3. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY STORY?
Your story is yours. Our role is to provide you with the agency to choose what happens to your story by letting you know what is possible and available. We won’t share your info with anyone without your explicit consent. If you have experienced or witnessed harm by federal agents, you may wish to share your story or connect with a variety of groups, including community organizers, lawyers, elected officials, members of the press, researchers, care providers, religious groups, artists, and more. Depending on your interests, we will contact you with relevant organizing opportunities as they come up. Do not expect an immediate response or outreach. We are a small team and will do our best to be timely.
4. WHO ARE WE?
The resistance to the ongoing violence of our federal government is made up of everyday people wanting to protect and care for their community. This project is no different. We are a group of local organizers and community members who are deeply committed to the safety of our neighborhoods and wanting to empower people who have experienced or seen abuse by federal agents.
5. CAN I OPT OUT LATER?
Yes. By filling out the form and opting into some of the contact methods, you are consenting to being contacted by our vetted organizing team. However, you can always opt out by emailing us at reporticeabuses@proton.me.
6. WHAT OTHER ACTIONS CAN I TAKE WITH MY STORY?
